Equipment Checkout Hours for Summer 2017, July 14 to August 20:

Monday – Friday: 9am to 5pm
Saturday and Sunday: closed

The Department of Cinematic Arts has high end facilities and high end equipment including a variety of camera, sound, lighting, grip, computer, and A/V equipment for checkout to be used in conjunction with Cinematic Arts classes, research, and events.  Please read through the Department of Cinematic Arts Equipment and Facilities Policy and the Cinematic Arts Computer labs and Classroom Use Policy.

Equipment is available to Cinematic Arts students, faculty, and staff.  A complete list of equipment can be found here.  

 

Equipment Reservation Form

Fill out the following form to reserve equipment for a class project. Reservations should be made 48 hours (2 business days) in advance to insure availability of needed equipment.

Facilities and Classroom Space Reservation

Students, faculty, and staff can reserve time in the Flex Space, Recording Studio, or classrooms in Mesa del Sol, and classrooms in Hartung Hall or CERIA.  Please email cinema@unm.edu to reserve space.

The Flexible Production Lab has the following:

•Programmable ETC lighting control system w/ 25 spot lights, 16 Fresnels and 16 LED wash lights.
•Full audio mixing and recording station with Presonus 24.4.2 board
•Green Screen Cyclorama and portable walls
•7.1 Surround Sound system
•Flexible Crestron AV switching system

Special Project Support

Facilities and equipment are for the use of Cinematic Arts classes during the semester. Use outside of this requires prior approval. Personal or commercial use is strictly prohibited, unless prior approval has been granted by the Department of Cinematic Arts. Please email cinema@unm.edu to request special project support.  Include the Name of Project, Your Name, Email, Degree/Program, Names of People Involved, Description of Project, List of Equipment Needed and Space Needed, and include the Date and Time Needed for equipment and facilities.
