Equipment

Checkout is only available to students currently enrolled in an IFDM or Media Arts production course. The checkout period is two days (if equipment is picked up on Thursday or Friday, it is due back the next Monday).

Equipment Checkout Hours for the fall 2017 semester (August 21-December 15):

Monday – Thursday: 9am to 9pm
Friday: 9am to 5pm
Saturday – Sunday: closed

The Department of Cinematic Arts has high end facilities and equipment including a variety of camera, sound, lighting, grip, computer, and A/V equipment for checkout to be used in conjunction with Cinematic Arts classes, research, and events.  Please read through the Department of Cinematic Arts Equipment and Facilities Policy and the Cinematic Arts Computer labs and Classroom Use Policy.

Facilities and Classroom Space Reservation

Students, faculty, and staff can reserve time in the Flex Space, Recording Studio, or classrooms in Mesa del Sol, and classrooms in Hartung Hall or CERIA.  Please email cinema@unm.edu to reserve space.

The Flexible Production Lab has the following:

•Programmable ETC lighting control system w/ 25 spot lights, 16 Fresnels and 16 LED wash lights.
•Full audio mixing and recording station with Presonus 24.4.2 board
•Green Screen Cyclorama and portable walls
•7.1 Surround Sound system
•Flexible Crestron AV switching system
