Journal staff garners 22 awards in Top of Rockies contest

Albuquerque Journal staffers earned 22 awards in the 2019 Top of the Rockies contest, including first place honors in nine categories.

The annual media competition is open to newspapers, broadcast television stations and podcasts in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. The competition is coordinated by the Colorado chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

The entries from calendar year 2018 were judged on overall excellence, service to the community, and contributions to the public understanding of issues and events.
